Saturday's ASCO Midland Football Madness served as home opener in
Grande Communications Stadium. The Lee Rebels faced
Colleyville Heritage, which ended in a 52-20 loss. The Rebels
went three-and-out on their first four possessions, while Heritage
scores on their first three drives. Lee finally settled in
offensively early in the second quarter. Quarterback Jace
Edwards broke open on a 27-yard scamper to get the Rebels back in
the game. Edwards would score again on a 78-yard blast midway
through the second quarter. The Panthers answered with two
touchdowns of their own and added a field goal to take a 38-14
halftime lead.
