 After a scoreless first quarter, the Plainsmen took a
7-0 lead. Monterey held Lee to a field goal on the Rebels’
ensuing possession, but it was all Lee from that point on in the
31-21 Lee victory. The Rebels scored on their next two drives
to take a 17-7 lead into halftime. Lee was held to 173 rushing yards
for the game, 124 of those coming in the first half. The Rebels
became more pass-oriented and quarterback Jace Edwards passed for
104 of his 174 yards in the second half and two of his three
touchdowns.
